Starting of the game

1. Seat determination

4 people’s seats are randomly determined (counterclockwise: East/ South/ West/ North). The temporary dealer is also automatically decided at this point.

2. Dealer determination

Toncha (temporary dealer) throws the dice. The dealer is determined according to the dice spots. The seat number is assigned counterclockwise from the East according to the dice spots.

3. Haipai (tile dealing) and Dora exposition

Toncha (dealer) throws 2 dices. Haipai starting position in the pile is determined according to the dice spots, and tiles are automatically distributed. The players start with 13 tiles and the dealer starts with totally 14 tiles with addition of the first Tsumo (*Tsumo: Player wins by drawing a tile from a wall during his turn.). First, 1 Dora exposed tile is displayed. Dora tile is the next tile of the exposed tile (tile 1 if tile 9 is the exposed tile). There will be more exposed tiles for each Kong (Kan).

4. Starting/ termination of the game

The game starts by the dealer’s first tile discard and ends after continuation of Tsumo/ tile discard in turns until someone wins or has Ryukyoku (*Ryukyoku: If only the dead wall remains and no one has won, the round is drawn).

5. Change of the dealer

If Toncha (dealer) does not win or have Tempai (one tile left for winning) at the game termination, Nancha becomes the next dealer.

6. Hanchan

The game ends with Tonba and Namba’s Hanchan.

7. Point calculation

When the game ends, the game points are indicated and paid.

All the deposit sticks, reach-sticks, left at the end are added to the top player.

8. Off-line/ abnormal termination

If you fall off-line for some reason and the connection does not recover after a certain waiting time, the discarded tiles will be processed with automatic Tsumo-giri.
